Growing Conditions

The 2017 vintage was noted for the ideal conditions, moderate temperatures and long hang time, which provided perfect conditions for full but slow ripening. Additionally, slightly lower yields and small berries further enhanced the concentrated flavors in the fruit and ultimately the wine.

Leads with cherry, cassis, red currant, and herbs. Followed by soft vanilla and black pepper.

Ripe black cherry, cassis and hints of black pepper dominate the flavor with undertones of red currant and plum. The maturation time in oak adds complexity in the form of caramel and vanilla. The wine has an elegant mouth feel with well integrated tannins and a balanced finish.
